I honestly don’t know what to say other than, wow! There is so much going on in this and what a huge cliffhanger! Can Ryan please take a long needed/deserved vacation?! Seriously, when’s the next one coming out because I’ll read it right now!
This series just gets better and better. I hate waiting for the next book to come out. When the book ended I actually said, "No." I couldn't believe McLeod ended it that way. Of course it was 3AM because I read this in one sitting and couldn't put it down. I then had to go to BSB to see if it was in the "upcoming" books. Nothing... was so sad. I really hope McLeod is working hard getting book 4 out (or already finished, fingers crossed) because this one will drive you nuts. These books really are fantastic. This book has several moments where my heart just hurt for the characters. McLeod writes hurt really well. When I finished book 2 I was really wanting to see more of Hannah and Rory and this book delivered both. I hope book 4 will gives us even more. I could start this entire series over right now and still be happy. How many series can you say that about? This review is so hard to write because I want to just tell you all of the crazy things that happens in book 3 but I would hate to spoil anything because it is just that good. I know I verbally said things out loud like, "Oh my god" and"WTF" and "I can't believe it" during this reading. The last 1/4 of the book had me feeling anxious. I finished around 3 AM and couldn't go to sleep. When books like this happen you want to hurry up and write your review because you want everyone to read it, but you can't think of anything that is good enough to say. Buy them all right now. Read them. This series is exactly the reason I need to wait for the series to be finished before I start because waiting is torture. We need audiobook versions of all them.. pronto..
Known Threat is book 3 in a fantastic Secret Service series. I implore you to read the first 2 because it will be so worth your while to get to know Agent Ryan O'Connor and her equally appealing supporting cast. The plot continues where we last left her healing in the aftermath of the shooting, the startling arrest of her boss, and the building connection with Allison now that she's suddenly back in her life. Many questions are answered and new layers are revealed but in unexpected ways that dare to question everything Ryan has come to know about her career and the people she thinks she can trust and rely on. There are several bombshells and plot twists you won't expect that push Ryan to her breaking point, repeatedly. The thrill of the action-packed suspense coupled with the intensity of Ryan and Allison's affair was an immensely fun rollercoaster ride. I'm hoping for more adventures from this amazing universe of characters. I received a copy from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
Book 3 in a series that will hopefully go on for many books to come. McLeod is getting better and better at answering questions set up in previous books and layering in new ones to keep you hooked and hanging on her every word. Ryan and Allison are well developed 3D characters. The other characters in the series seem real and provide story progression.The romance and its issues share center stage with a story about a psycho obsessed with the president's daughter. The chemistry between Ryan and Allison is palpable. At times the tension between them is too. That part hurts. The action and danger scenes are also done well. You won't want to put this book down until the climax once you hit the 70% mark on your kindle.Netgalley ARC received for an honest review.
This is one of my favorite series out there, and one of my favorite authors. This is the third in the series, and it continues to move along at a blistering pace. Ryan and Allison are still everything they were in the first two books, but now trying to be together while everything else professionally is falling apart around them is tough. The relationship continues to have trials and some of their biggest issues are put to the test in this one. I also loved the progression of Ryan's relationship with the Secret Service and how it doesn't always paint them in the best light. The whole thing is enthralling and I look forward to the continuation of this saga.
This is the third book in this series following Special Agent Ryan O’Connor. She's recovered from a shooting and looks forward to being back on full duty again. Everything with her girlfriend Allison is going great so when she's blindsided by a ghost from her past when her whole existence is badly shaken. Ms Mcleod's writing just keeps getting better and better. Great series that I hope keeps coming. Great read.
I love this series and this book was no exception. It's fast-paced, with plenty of action. A recurring foe is back, well, actually a couple since SAIC Byers is still his obnoxious self. The book never lets up. Just when I thought things were settled or resolved, something happens. I hope there is a fourth in this series.
This story captures you and does not let you go! This is an excellent addition to SA Ryan O'Connor's story line. This author has created a wonderful character in Ryan O'Connor. The first person point of view is so riveting and heartfelt. It really doesn't get any better if you love an exciting thriller. Highly recommended!

I wasn’t sure if Kaur was going to be able to pierce my soul like she did with Milk & Honey but she did it with ease. A journey of self love and raw observations about the world around us.The only thing I did notice was if you are an advid reader like myself, you probably picked up a lot of similarity from other poets and works. I think we all strive for originality but sometimes it falls short.I will saw that Rupi Kaur is not for everyone, I know people who worships the ground she walks on and other who loathe her for her writing style.But that’s the thing about poetry, it doesn’t need to be perfect to be power.
This is the second collection of free verse (with some prose) poetry and line drawn art by Rupi Kaur, an ethnically Indian Canadian poet. Like the first collection, “Milk and Honey,†this collection has been well received critically. The strengths of the collection include some beautiful, evocative, and unique use of language; the author’s willingness to lay it all on the line in a bold and brave fashion; and the often clever--if simple, verging on crude—artwork. Its greatest weakness is frequent restatement of clichéd notions and truisms that don’t stand up well juxtaposed to the more personal and illuminating lines.The collection is divided into five parts, each of them reflecting a theme—while being tied together by the titular floral theme. “Wilting†is about breakups. This flows smoothly in tone into the second part, “Falling,†which is about sexual violence, depression, and the linkage between them. “Rooting†is about family and origins, and—in particular—the poet’s relationship with her mother. As an immigrant child who moved to Canada from Punjab while young, Kaur was more attuned to her new home than her parents—who were less at ease with their adopted homeland and more rooted to their ancestral home. The penultimate part, “Rising†is about love and relationships, and it takes the collection into brighter territory. “Blooming†is about feeling comfortable within one’s own skin, and—in particular—the female experience of it.As hinted, the overall organization of the collection seems purposeful and intriguing. The two melancholy parts at the beginning are blended into the last two (more optimistic) parts by way of a chapter on roots and family. This bridging seems to be done on purpose to make a statement.I enjoyed this collection, and would highly recommend it for poetry readers—particularly for those who enjoy free verse.
Book was inappropriate for minors
I was excited to purchase both The Sun and Her Flowers and Milk and Honey as these were actually books recommended to my 14 year old daughter to read (so she put them in her Christmas list). However, when the books got here, I skimmed through. I personally do not feel this is appropriate for my 14 year old. Nowhere in the descriptions did it say anything about sexual content. From what I did read, the books seems like A great read for a more mature reader. Maybe 17. I just feel with the particular sexual content and some of the illustrations, I would not recommend for anyone under 17.
My 13 year old granddaughter asked for this book of 'poetry' for Christmas. After receiving the book and perusing it's contents I discovered that it contained some questionable content for a 13 year old. Be advised that their are graphic sketches and material that you may not be prepared to explain to your young reader.
LOVE Rupi and LOVE this book! If you read her first book (Milk and Honey), it's still in Rupi's signature style, but she manages to cover similar topics from a different standpoint. It kind of feels as though her books are maturing with her, as this one handles the issues from Milk and Honey in a more mature, learned tone. Definitely recommend that ALL young women read this, if for no other reason than to see that we are all sharing very similar struggles in love and life in general.
This was my first hard copy of Rupi Kaur’s books. I read it in sections so I could allow time for the words and images to sink deeply into my soul. It evolves beautifully from wilting at the beginning until blooming at the end. Her writing is lyrical and realistic. Her love of self brings me a new appreciation for the process so many of us women experience after living in darkness.
I love Rupi's style of books. She is very honest and open in her poems which I think is important especially for young readers. I love this book and hope to reread it again soon. I recommend it to anyone looking for a positive and enlightening story made of poems.

I can't begin to say now awesome this book was, and how much I so needed to read such a story as this!! Everything I've gone through myself in my past relationships, I wasn't sure if the Lord could still write a love story for me. Now I know without a doubt, that He can and He will, thanks to Cheryl sharing her true story how God did just that for her! She allowed Him to take control, and the result was absolutely amazing and inspiring! Men, you also would do well to read this book, especially thanks to Chris, Cheryl's husband giving very sound advice on how to prayerfully pursue the right woman God wants you to have in your life. I myself am now excited to see what God does this coming year in my life...waiting on Him no longer will be a chore, but a privilege, and I know that the end results will be exactly the way God always wanted it to be for me. Read, pray, get inspired from Cheryl's story, and get ready to see what God will do in your life, as you wait on Him to write our your own love story!
i've only read 3 chapters so far and they were spot on. they were exactly my feelings in areas. they were not eye opening revelations. it's stuff i have heard/read before but she has lived it. a lot of people who teach on marriage and singleness are not p[over 35yrs old and still waiting for a spouse. she was funny and open and honest. i really loved the chapter that her husband wrote. but i started with Chapter Four: I Must Be Defective then i skipped to Ch. 17 his finally where her husband talks about his journey of waiting- must read ladies and gents, then i read the first chapter. i might up it to 5 starts after i finish reading it. but i was so encouraged by this book.i finished it and wow the pitfalls she endures. love her honesty. love her repeated statements to PRAY, PRAY, and PRAY.first pray to see if it's god's will for you to even be married. then pray to surrender to his will. then pray for guidance EVERY step o f the way, every relationship, every friendship,, .etc.basically unless you have a close relationship with God, pray a lot, and know the Word you can't mimic her journey.great book!
I have read a LOT of relationship books over the years and I have found the most comfort in those books written from a Christian perspective. Let's face it: because times have changed there are lots of women (and men!) who just can't seem to meet the right person. If you are a God-fearing, church going, sold-out for Christ, Bible-reading, Rosary-praying, no-sex-outside-of-marriage committed Christian (whew!) it ain't easy. It isn't IMPOSSIBLE but it isn't easy. I have intermittently given up over the years but then something pulls me back from the abyss. Oddly enough, I had just finished my quiet time with God when I went onto Amazon.com because I was thinking about getting another book--not a how-to book on dating or finding a man or anything like that. Rather, I was looking for a book about WAITING. After all, that's the season I'm in and have been in for a while. I was seriously considering purchasing two other books when this book showed up in my visual field. It was FREE and it had amazing reviews. Nuff said. I downloaded the book on Friday night. But Sunday afternoon, I was finished.What an amazingly true account of what it's like to be a single Christian woman who feels totally forgotten by everyone, even God on occasion. The author was extremely candid and shared her personal struggles. I could definitely relate to her dialogue with God. In the end, the author met the man God was preparing for her. The book ends with her husband sharing his *own* struggles as a single Christian man also in a prolonged waiting phase. He describes his emotional journery during their courtship and what God revealed to him along the way.I say this book changed my life because I believe this was a message from God to me. The author talks a lot about "signs" in the book. I don't expect much in the way of signs from God, but I do think He speaks to us in subtle ways. This book gave me a renewed sense of hope. No, there's no magic answer to this whole relationship thing, but I believe beyond a shadow of a doubt that God is involved in the process of who our spouse should be and if we "surrender the pen" as the author says countless times, God will write a beautiful love story. I don't know about you, but I'm a hopeless romantic and God is probably the biggest Romantic there ever was. I only wish I had a local group of Christian women to discuss this with because it is SO rich. So for anyone in a waiting season and struggling, check this book out and consider surrendering this area of your life. Yes, it is scary. And there's a little doubt in the back of your mind that it will ever really happen. Just keep speaking the Word over your barren situation and believe. Don't forget to thank God for what He's doing. Remember, when you sow a seed, a lot is happening under the surface that you can't see with your naked eye.
This book reads like a journal at parts, as well as your standard relationship book. It's comic and yet has deep spiritual truths and encouragement. It was written very authentically and I'm glad the author's willingness to share so much that was happening in her life while she wrote, was rewarded with being able to share such a detailed story of God's answer and provision in response to her prayers.I have a lot of books about relationships from various angles, topics and issues. Though the highly personal aspects does set it apart, I probably did not glean any information I didn't know before in some manner. What's different about this book is that it's really rare, in my experience, to have an author who will write directly and bravely out of the experience of being a Spirit-filled believer, i.e. one who knows that all the gifts of the Spirit are real and active today and embraces them. The written word of God in the bible is the foremost and main thing of course; but, as someone who has also experienced prophetic words, dreams, and other external confirmations through other believers, it was nice to see this reflected in a book. There are lots of us out there and it's nice to be able to relate.

About the Author
Nigel Thorley has been involved with Jaguars all his life, having owned 68 at the time of writing. His first Jaguar came at the age of 18, and he has owned most models over the years, currently owning a 5.0 litre XK Portfolio convertible and an XJ saloon. Nigel has written more than twenty titles on the Jaguar marque, including several of the Essential Buyer's Guides for Veloce Publishing. He is a founder member and director of the Jaguar Enthusiasts' Club and has edited its magazine, Jaguar Enthusiast, since 1984. Having previously edited Jaguar Driver magazine, he has also written for many other forms of media.

My husband really enjoyed this edition. It's got just enough history and mechanical detail (it is not meant to be a comprehensive repair manual) and he's quite happy with this as another reference tool.
Not what I expected. Mostly pictures and commentary. I expected a repair manual similar to what Bentley has for BMWs.

I bought this book to give to my granddaughter because her grandfather and uncle are into harness racing. The pictures and text of what it is like to care for a horse and what horses do all day are very engaging and depict what she sees on their farm. There are many pictures and descriptions about what different types of horses do, too; herding cows, trotting in parades, dancing in a circus, racing, and taking children for a ride, etc. The drawings are colorful and make this book very engaging for a young child. I will buy a second copy to keep at my house, so I can read it to her at my house too. The only thing I would change is to have a picture of a horse in a harness race. Love this book!
Large Book. Solid hardcover and thick pages. Great colors and illustrations. Hard to find many horse books appropriate for toddlers and this one it exactly that. Perfect for any little horse lover.
Perfect book for both boys and girls. The book shows both genders riding and shows all of the jobs horses can do all within a uber cute story that's perfect for toddlers attention spans and great for when they start reading on their own. I was so pleasantly surprised how perfect this book was for my nephew. I took a risk and it certainly paid off!!!!

I enjoyed the rhyming scheme while learning about all the duties of horses everywhere. I recommend this fun children's story.
This is a lovely book for little ones who are beginning to like horses and everything about them. My grand daughter - 3 and a half - has enjoyed it very much. Fun for preschoolers and kindergarten age. I like the illustrations.
