Very disappointing. It only covers the general nutrition and exercise information that is found in a thousand other books. It does not cover the one thing that Dr. Osborn is know for, the one thing that is different from what everyone else is doing and stands out. Namely, it is does not include his protocols for the modified Ketogenic diet for weight loss. This was the only reason why I purchased the book, such a waste. It does give a well written high level overview of exercise and nutrition for health, but not much I didn't already know.

I'm a 57 year old male and have been working out with weights since I was 16 years old. I started this book's recommended routine since January with amazing results. The weight has fallen off my mid-section and I'm stronger than ever. My favorite part is the two days per week lifting heavy weights, Using the 5 sets with 5 reps protocol recommended by the book, my strength has increased slowly but surely each week to the point where I'm lifting double the weight I was using prior. The other 2 days of the week doing 30 minutes of cardio getting my heart rate up to 114 helps burn calories and condition my heart. The other workout day consists of endurance training that consists of about 30-40 minutes of a combination of various exercises the build endurance. I pop up stair like noting now.For the previous years I was on a routine where I lifted weights 3 times weekly doing super slow repetitions under the time-under-tension strategy. What a waste of time that was. I barely worked up a sweat. My lifting poundage’s barely increased. The exact opposite is true with this workout. You sweat. Your poundage’s increase dramatically! I’ll never go back to TUT. My joints are fine too as this protocol teaches you proper form to avoid injury.The feel the hormones this workout creates doing heavy compound movements. All of my friends have commented on the transformation that is taking place with my body and ask what I’m doing. I've given out copies as gifts to close friends and highly recommend this book, there’s lot of useful information in this book from this smart doctor. I’ve emailed him several times—his personal email is in the book—and he has responded in a few days each time answering questions for me! Give it a try, you’ll love it….

All you need to do is follow his simple programs on what to do, and even more importantly, what not to do and spend your time and energy on. This is one of the biggest "aha" lessons of the book. It will help you make the mental shift from time and variety of exercises to quality and intensity of movements. Achieve more, with greater focus, not more time, more money, and more of the same. You will never look at the gym setting the same again, and you will begin to see why so many people spend so much time doing the same thing, day after day, year after year, and getting very small incremental results if any. This book is a must read whether you are a man or women, concerned with having more energy and stamina, loosing fat, gaining muscle, preventing injury, rehabilitating an injury, or just want to feel healthier. And it's for anyone and everyone who truly wants to change their mind and body,and have quantum leap results.
