PROS: The concept of the Cinestory series - of which we own four from various movies - is great! A comic book that pretty much VERBATIM recites the entire movie. I can finally figure out what some of the characters were saying when I didn't catch it the first time. When the characters break out in song, there are music notes next to the speech bubble, and if you've watched the movie, you can pretty much hear it in your head. My kids love it exactly because it recites the whole movie and they feel like they are watching it again.CONS: The print quality is way too dark (aside from white speech bubbles), and the paper is on traditional comic book, matte paper. Even happy, bright outdoor scenes are printed with dark colors, almost like viewing the movie through shaded lenses. This book cannot be read in the car on a long trip because it's just too dark. It needs to be read under a bright reading light or sunlight to make it comfortable for the eyes. But my kids didn't seem bothered by the dark print...

I love Beauty and the Beast and was totally disappointed in the quality of this book.The pictures thru out the whole book are very dark. Unless they do something to brighten the pictures, I would recommend not wasting your money on it.

Pictures are dark and print is tiny. Too bad, because it seemed perfect for struggling readers were it not so poorly printed.

They aren't kidding when they say pictures are dark. The entire book is dark, even the "lighter" pages are what would be considered dark for other illustrations. It's like watching tv on the lowest brightness setting. Major dissapointment!

A cinestory is simply screenshots of the film with the dialogue added in, comic style. Unfortunately, in this case, the pictures are too dark, making everything difficult to see. To make matters worse, the book is printed using pulp paper; the kind comics used to be printed on in the 80's before they switched to glossy paper. This makes everything look low res and even more blurry than they actually are.In the current state, this book is a solid miss. Hopefully Disney/Joe Books will consider using glossy paper and remaster the picture for the hardcover coming out later this year.
