This book, "When is Marriage Null" is an English translation of a 1998 Italian book of journal articles fleshing out the canonical grounds of marriage nullity. The author, Fr. Paolo Bianchi, sought to implement the particular law of the Italian Episcopal Conference in reference to educating the parochial "first responders" in facilitating the examination of non-superficial indications or legitimate grounds regarding the case of the potential plaintiff seeking a declaration of nullity prior to approaching a diocesan tribunal. "When is Marriage Null" is canonical caviar, an academic treatise that will most certainly stimulate the canonist who is interested in the field of marriage jurisprudence. Hands down, the finest work I have ever read.My two favorite areas of marriage law are canons 1097 (error) and 1095 (incapacity). Fr. Paolo dedicates over 75 pages (out of 315) to these two areas alone. He brilliantly explains the subjects so well (with real case examples) that I am struggling to see how this book can be useful for the non-canonist. I do, somewhat, believe that it can be an advantage for the non-canonist, but only up to a certain point. This book is the real deal and a gigantic treat for the lover of canon law. It is not like other books that you may stumble upon from time to time that seek to bring the Church's law into the mainstream arena, no, this book is very different. Pure gold! I love it!!!!!
This is a demanding book for someone who is not familiar with Canon Law. Each chapter addresses one of the grounds for annulment, and the examples provided at the end of each chapter make it easier to understand how the validity of a marriage is assessed in practice. Although it seems that most applications for nullity are approved these days in Western countries, some of the cases in the book involve marriages that were not declared null. In some cases the applicant spouse simply wanted to move on with their life and have their divorce rubber-stamped by the Church. Great review book. Questions are almost exactly like the ones on the FP-C exam. I studied this book exclusively for 3 weeks until about a week before my test when IAFCCP released their online study tool. I went through it one time and didn't find it to be as helpful except it showed that this book is a little lacking on the CAMTS requirement questions. I studied the CAMTS pdf off their website with Back to Basics for that last week and made a 93 on my first attempt on the test. This is the first product I recommend when people ask me how to study for FP-C/CCP-C.
I'm taking the CCT course in a couple of months, and purchased this as a primer and to see what I should brush up on before attending. I was happy to find that my paramedic program did an excellent job at some non-flight/non-CCT topics. I also found some topics which I need to study. For that purpose, the book worked for me.However, there were several issues I had with the text. Some are minor - like spelling mistakes or other small typos - sentences that are fragments or skip a thought. The occasional Wikipedia reference in the middle of the answers (linking to an actual reference listed in the end notes, but still an editing mistake) was amusing. There were some larger issues, though. I found several instances where a question would ask about one topic with possible answers that didn't make any sense, and the explanation would talk about a completely different topic. Then the following question would be related to the previous explanation, but would have it's own, appropriate explanation.As long as you don't mind some editing errors, it is a good book for the price.
Just successfully passed my FP-C. This book was my primary text with a good volume of questions and rationale. I studied this material until I not only mastered the answers but the rationale behind each answer. To be honest this is one of several resources I used. I also used:1. FAST by William Wingfield.......(I'd recommend purchasing this one as well)2. William Wingfields FP-C video review course (watched it twice)3. Quizlet (Look for FP-C review flashcards)4. FlightBridge.I over-studied......but felt like I passed fairly easily because of my preparation. Hope this helps.
I took and passed the CFRN test in October and was surprised by the amount of info that was not in this or the FlightBridges material. You obviously need to know the emergency and critical care elements that are reviewed in this book, but if you are looking to fly you had better already know those areas stone cold. The elements of aircraft operations and flight physiology that are found in AMRM is what you really need to be successful. This book is a very small piece of the preparation, not a " this is the only book you need" kind of thing.
Just passed the FP-C exam. This book covered a lot of content and had questions very similar to the actual exam. Only qualm is that there are many questions where either there is a major typo which changes the question leading to the answer making no sense (e.g what to do for an “ethanol overdose†then the answer says to give fomepizol and explains what to do for an ethylene glycol overdose) or the explanation contradicts the answer given (e.g the letter given as correct doesn’t match the explained answer).I would overall highly recommend this book but be prepared to be very frustrated by the little errors.
This was my main book I used for FP-C and passed first time. Questions are similar to FP-C and the question explanations are very detailed for the most part so if you don't know a subject it will help you understand the material. I found a few questions that were marked wrong so that was frustrating taking time to investigate it but these were few and far between. Overall a great book.
Very useful book. Helped me study for national CCTP board exam. Great format and explanations for answers where very helpful.
Although a good study guide overall I found many mistakes. Questions with no correct answers and then the explanation would talk about another issue completely. Question 8 in Ch 1 pg 15 for one, picture below. So be ready to research any questions you think may be incorrect. I would not use this as a sole study guide. It made me question many of the authors rationals.

I've been reading this guide for a trip in December. It seems comprehensive and I like that it details summer and winter hours for the various attractions. What surprises me is that many accommodations are in the L90-L150 range which I consider not to be "budget". It does list some hostels but I would have expected many more. Of course google/tripadvisor/hostels type websites can be used for detailed research.
Good travel guide to the smaller cities and countryside of the England, Wales and Scotland
A lot of areas are not covered at all, limited suggestions to go a bit off the beaten track.
Haven't road tested yet, but seems as advertised.

This volume proved to be a good introduction to Seventh-day Adventism. Providing easy reading, it is fairly well balanced. A criticism that can be leveled against the author is that he falls into the trap of being American-centered. Given - as he demonstrates in figure 2 in the last chapter - that for a major segment of the history the church, the membership outside of the States is greater and that this gap will continue to widen, it would have been more relevant to the topic and title of the book if greater focus and attention could have been paid to the history outside of the USA.He is not alone in this shortcoming, as most Adventist historians do the same, e.g. Schwartz, Floyd and Greenleaf, Froom, etc.However, despite this shortcoming, it is a positive contribution to Adventist historiography.
The book content is probably fine, however be forewarned that the kindle version, as terrific as it is, does NOT contain any page numbers. This makes referencing and citations the book impossible, following along with others difficult, and reading assigned pages by your teacher impractical. Take my advice, if you are needing the original page numbers AVOID THE KINDLE VERSION and buy from Google Play Books - their e-reader does have the page numbers for nearly the exact same price. Sorry Amazon... my wife LOVES her Kindle, but not convenient for homework when you intentionally remove the page numbers.
George Knight always does a great job in his book. This book is no exception, as it is concise, and gives a good overview of the Seventh-day Adventist Denomination (of which I am a pastor). He breaks it down in to various periods of the church's growth, and gives a great understanding of the people who have contributed to the church, and how God has led a people to become a revelation of His character in these last days.
I chose this rating because it was easy to understand . The book was not voluminous but the necessary details of the Adventist church history were covered. Another advantage to reading this book are recommendations for further studyI recommend this book to all who desire to gain an understanding of the S.D.A. history.
This was excellent, it gave a good brief history of the church reminding us of the true calling of the Adventist Church. The author has clearly articulated the key points that shaped the history of seventh day Adventist. Onto the next book on understanding Ellen G white

Bethany writes in a very conversational tone and shares many engaging anecdotes about her personal experiences as a learner, a teacher, a mom, a friend, and a blogger to back up her points.The book is broken into ten chapters, with each one covering using technology to engage, explore, create, communicate, think critically, assess, reflect, motivate, design lessons, and connect. I learned something new from each chapter and wish I had read this when I didn't have just five days left in school, so I could implement them this year.I loved that the book was not based entirely on the tech tools, but more on applications of each tool. New ideas that I had never considered before were presented in each chapter. A ton of stickies now adorn my copy with things I'd like to try in my own classroom.While the focal point of the book is the "why/how" to use different tools, the "what" tool to use is also addressed. I consider myself pretty in the know about educational technology, but there were about six tools I had never heard of or knew what they did. The 35 tools are helpfully categorized in the "Tech Tools Index" at the back of the book, which made it easy to count up how many I need to learn about soon, but even more nuggets of wisdom are sprinkled throughout the book, making the grand total much higher. Luckily, blank notes pages are included at the end of each chapter to keep it all organized.A common fear about print books about technology is that they will be outdated within a year or two. Bethany has helpfully included QR codes (which she shares a number of educational uses for throughout the book) to blog posts she has written about the subject. In my interactions with Bethany, I know she is on the ball when it comes to educational technology, and these blogs will be updated as current technology is refined and new, better tools are developed. Essentially, you are getting two books for the price of one - the one in your hand and the future iterations of her blog.Thank you for allowing me the chance to read and review this book, Bethany. I loved the book and feel that it is a must-read for every first-year teacher as well as experienced teachers looking to better integrate technology into the classroom. Each chapter looks at a particular aspect of education and discusses several technology tools that could be used to enhance that particular area. In this way, Bethany is able to present several tools to help teachers in a variety of areas. For example, the book opens with a chapter on engagement. Throughout this chapter, Bethany offers several different strategies to increase engagement of students that she has you successfully in her classroom. From using QR Codes to Edpuzzle and more, she briefly discusses how each tool is used successfully in her classroom to address this particular aspect.The book continues with chapters on exploring with technology, creating, communicating, collaboration and critical thinking, assessment, reflection, and motivation as well as designing lessons with technology in mind. By using this format, Perry is able to discuss a wide range of tools that can be used for many of these different areas. Well, Petty discusses several tools in more than one category. In each chapter, the tools are discussed as they would pertain to that particular chapter. In setting up the book this way, she is able to introduce new and emerging teachers to a variety of uses of tools that they may already be familiar with as well as new tools that many teachers may not be using.As an experienced technology integrator, I was familiar with almost all of the tools that Petty introduced, but even I was intrigued by her unique uses of tools that I have used for years. Her creativity in presenting these new and interesting uses for tools for technology integration in the classroom make this book a must-read for new teachers and an incredible resource for experienced teachers.
